Davao City Tour - Part 3
Wednesday, March 01, 2017Continuing day 02 of our Davao City Trip - after our Eden Nature Park experience, we stopped by a Japanese Tunnel site that has now been turned into a resort and restaurant establishment.
D' Japanese Tunnel
There's a Php50 fee to enter the tunnel and a guide will accompany you inside. It was told to be one of the few preserved tunnels made by the Japanese army way back World War II (1942).
There were closed pathways that leads to more tunnels but entering was not allowed.
Apo ni Lola
We stopped by next at Apo Ni Lola - a famous pasalubong center at Davao City.
A quick story about Apo Ni Lola - the "Lola" is Lola Abon who was famed to have started the Durian Candy Making business in Davao - and continuing this legacy is the "Apo," Jojo Raakin who is now making his own name on the same field.
And of course, our last stop for the day was President Duterte's house - and yes, it's green! :D
The security at this area is really high and it was kind of good and bad for the neighborhood in a way. lol.
