Davao City Tour - Part 2
Wednesday, March 01, 2017Prepare for an image heavy post!
Day 2
Day 2 is our 'formal' city tour. The hotel receptionist recommended us our ride for the whole day and handed us a leaflet of the tour packages.
We spent our second day with a very entertaining driver / tour guide - Kuya Diego. If you want to know more and see more of Davao City, I highly recommend you guys to have him on your Davao City trip!
The moment we step foot on his van, he formally introduced himself and gave a brief history of Davao City. He was very trivial and as we take on the road, he has small stories about almost all the establishments and views we pass by.
Eden Nature Park
Our first stop is the Eden Nature Park. We arrived there past 9AM.
The second advantage of getting Kuya Diego as our driver for the day is that he has connections with almost everyone. We arrived with families already lined up for registration but he called up the park to reserve for us beforehand, so we were able to get the last slot for the next ride right away. :)
We were given a waiting time before the tour so we were able to explore the place for a bit.
And, on to the tour~
Flower Garden and Amphitheater
Tinubdan - Tribal Village
Lola's Garden
The tour was completed after an hour and we refreshed ourselves with Foping's Halo-Halo before exploring the rest of the park. This halo-halo is so cute, you'll be given this checklist of ingredients you want to include in your cup before the cashier punches your order.
Butterfly Garden
We weren't able to catch the cut-off at the registration area for the other activities so we head on to the buffet area and had some lunch first.
The food selection served here are very colorful and healthy! All the foods are grown and freshly served from the place. You can even cut your own lettuce at the salad bar. They also make their own ice cream for dessert.
Extreme Attractions
This part I tried by myself since my sisters were not up to these kind of things. I tried their combo package for the Sky Cycle and Sky Rider - and it was so much fun!
