Cosplaying for me is as always I say the best hobby ever. Because I get to do so many things, like sew, craft, style wigs, mold clay and lots of other things.

And this day, I was invited by a friend (TJ) to judge a contest, a Lolita Fashion Contest.

I got to judge with two cosplay friends (Mimi and Gaby). We were asked to wait by the seats near the stage and got briefed on how everything works, like the scoring and stuffs and we were given each our score sheets.


The event started with a parade of all the participants.



While waiting for the parade to end, we had to have selfies to cherish the moment. LOL This is our first time to judge an event anyway. So here's a bunch of those shots:




We were asked to be prepared as the cosplayers entered the event area. They were all lovely of course! And since it was a cosplay affair, there were still cosplayers who were not in their lolita outfit, so everybody agreed to have another category that day to have everyone participate.

TJ organized and hosted the event, that's so cool! =^∇^*=


She gave a little trivia about the concept of the event, the judging criteria and other stuff then introduced us to the crowd.


I was really nervous when my name was called, even though we were just asked to stand up and wave. (=ↀωↀ=)✧ It was a nice feeling to be introduced that way. ฅ( ͒ᵕ̳◡ᵕ̳ ͒)｡o○ Mimi was judge #2 and of course judge #3 was Gaby! She's really popular at the community and being friends with her is such an honor. :)

As the event transpired, all three of us were getting the idea of the hardship of being judges, why there's a time limit on stage and why you really need to "understand" what you are judging.

We all have the same thoughts of, "it's too fast!", "I haven't get to see the whole outfit!", "what's that?!", "ugghh..."


We thought it was just easy, but maaaaannn! It was just like a blink of an eye! We were all like, "what's your score for this?", "do you remember who was this?". It was so stressful and funny at the same time. (ↀДↀ)

When the ramp was done, the computation of the scores were done by one of TJ's staff. TJ made an impromptu game on stage to make up for the time. Until the winners were announced.


We were happy with the results! Though it got obvious that we all love pink. lol. (ृ˄·͈༝·͈˄ ृ )

For the overall experience, it was so much fun! We are all thankful to TJ for the opportunity! And here goes the rest of the photos from the event:
